The Diamond Dream

Where Dreams Begin and Memories Last Forever

Celebrating 60 years at Ray & Scott Jewellers

To reach a diamond anniversary is incredibly special. It’s a milestone that both Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II reached. It’s a time for celebration, and that’s exactly what Ray & Scott, the iconic jewellers on the Bridge, intends doing.

‘A whole year of activity is planned,’ says Martin Search, managing director, who, along with his business partner Jeff Fox, is encouraging anyone or any business celebrating an anniversary over the next 12 months to get in touch. Martin and the team dream of not only raising a considerable sum of money for local charities over the course of the anniversary year, but also wish to give customers a gift in the way of a generous discount. ‘We want to do something extra special,’ he says. ‘We want to carry on the tradition that founder Mr Ray started, which is to give back to the community.’

Local charities, including Autism Guernsey, Guernsey Dyslexia Day Centre, Guernsey Sailing Trust, Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation, and Les Voies Playground supported by Wooden Spoon and Bright Beginnings, will each receive an equal amount of the monies raised. ‘Although our diamond dream was planned well over a year ago, we recognise that charities have suffered a lack of funds because of Covid-19. We hope that the money raised will really help,’ says Martin.
