Martin joined Ray & Scott in 1974 and says:
"I’m lucky enough to have found a career which I love and I’ve been at Ray & Scott Jewellers for 46 years. When I joined Ray & Scott Jewellers, aged nineteen in 1974 I had no idea, that it would provide me with such an amazing life.
I began my career as the Junior/Trainee Manager and through time and experience, later becoming the Store Manager and at the age of twenty-seven then the Owner, this was influenced by my mentor and Boss, Mr. Ray, who encouraged me to take many exams and also sent me to Switzerland to learn managerial skills.
From an early age I knew this would be my life long career and promised myself I would turn our modest Jewellers, into one of the best in the South of England and the Channel Islands, a dream I still have and will continue to strive towards.
During my time we’ve had some amazing, loyal and talented staff and without them nothing would be possible, this has lead to the longevity and success of our business today.
Our continued quest to improve and evolve is something, I will always be continuing.

Fiona is a seasoned jewellery professional with over twenty years of experience in the trade. Following her studies in Jewellery and Silversmithing she embarked on a career, initially in Scotland and now in Guernsey.
She served her apprenticeship at the bench learning all aspects of the manufacturing and repair process. She particularly enjoyed working with designers to produce exciting commissions for some high profile clients. She then transitioned out of the workshop and gained experience in many facets of the retail industry through various roles in the prestigious Argyll Arcade in Glasgow and other premium jewellers in the greater Glasgow area.
These different roles allowed her to build up a large number of contacts within the industry. When Fiona moved to Guernsey she was delighted to find that many of them deal with Ray & Scott. She is a perfectionist when it comes to stock display and ensures that all of the beautiful pieces that we sell are shown correctly. She has a passion for Gemmology and has gained knowledge of premium watch brands.
Fiona looks forward to seeing you in the shop and always strives to find the perfect item by understanding the needs of every customer.
