BLANCPAIN PRESENTS: AN APPEALING NEW WEEK OF YEAR, LARGE DATE AND DAY OF THE WEEK MODEL

Blancpain continually and subtly enriches the Villeret line so as to preserve its timeless elegance. This newest piece with its pure lines, full fired enamel dial and double-stepped bezel is no exception to the rule. In harmony with these aesthetic codes, the chapter ring and Blancpain logo are enamel-painted, a decorative technique requiring many successive oven firings at an extremely high temperature of more than 800° Celsius.

 THE NEW FIFTY FATHOMS BATHYSCAPHE

The new three-hand 38 mm Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe model appears in a blue shade particularly cherished by Blancpain in that it recalls the depths of the ocean. Various key characteristics of this timepiece are nods to the historical Fifty Fathoms editions. Setting the perfect finishing touch, the steel bezel features a blue ceramic insert and hour-markers in Liquidmetal®, an alloy known for its deformation resistance and its long-term stability.

BLANCPAIN HISTORY

Since 1735, Blancpain has been contributing to the development of mechanical watchmaking, while conserving the traditional skills of its founder. At the beginning of the 18th century, Jehan-Jacques Blancpain perceived the potential in a completely new business activity: watchmaking. In 1735, he founded the Blancpain brand, setting up his first workshop on the upper floor of his house at Villeret, in the present-day Bernese Jura. By recording his name in the official property register of the municipality of Villeret, this pioneer had created an establishment which is now the world's oldest watchmaking brand.
